The cameras are designed not only to tackle speeding but to support wider road safety enforcement, helping officers identify drivers who may be putting others at risk.

The cameras have proven a success, with West Mercia Police officers catching 29 speeding offences in two days using TruCam technology in Worcestershire.

What is a TRUCAM?

The ‘TruCam’ is a state-of-the-art camera that captures digital evidence of traffic offences and streamlines the process of issuing fines.

It not only monitors speed but also records high-definition video that can be used to catch multiple other driving offences, such as drivers not wearing seatbelts or being distracted.
