POLICE in Malvern have given an update on crimes that have been reported in the town so far this year.
Speaking on behalf of the town’s policing team at a Malvern Town Council meeting on Wednesday (April 9), PCSO Collette Carpenter said they had recorded 978 reports from January 1 to March 31 but that not all were crimes.
“Not all are crimes and not all affect the community,” she said.

She said there had been 62 shoplifting reports, 12 residential burglaries, seven vehicle thefts and 97 reports of anti-social behaviour.
This included reports of anti-social behaviour at the vacant Priors Croft building on Grange Road, Malvern Rugby Club and in Victoria Park.
PCSO Carpenter said the local team had also agreed to work with Malvern Hills Trust to reduce anti-social behaviour on the Malvern Hills, as well as sheep worrying and drug activity.
