Pub’s message after being ‘under massive pressure’ during bluebell season

A PUB near a popular bluebell beauty spot has thanked customers for their patience after being “under massive pressure” during the bluebell season.

The New Inn in Shrawley said a mix of glorious spring weather and bluebells “in their full glory” had brought an incredibly busy few weeks.

The pub sits next to Shrawley Woods, making it a spot many walkers will visit to unwind after a stroll through the neighbouring beauty spot.

The pub has now reassured visitors that “normal service will resume” as the crowds ease off with the end of bluebell season.

On Facebook, a spokesperson said: “Thank you to all of our customers over the past few weeks for your patience.

“Due to the combination of beautiful weather and the bluebells in their full glory, both the pub and the car have been under massive pressure.

“As the bluebell silly season comes to an end, we would like to assure you all that normal service will resume here at The New Inn.

“Once again, thank you all for your patience during this incredibly busy time.”

Many customers have praised the watering hole for still providing a “warm welcome” and “great service” during a very noticeable, busy few weeks.

In March, the pub had requested that walkers exploring the nearby bluebells and parking in the pub car park should return to their cars by 12 noon to allow their customers to use the car park.

The pub has always shared its desire to support people who wish to see the spectacular array of bluebells at this time of year.

So it decided to allow walkers to use their car park before 12 noon to help visitors enjoy the landscape while also ensuring parking spaces for its customers.
