Repair Café to celebrate its 10th anniversary at next session

Worcester’s Repair Café is marking its 10th anniversary this month.

The community event, which helps residents fix broken household items, will celebrate the milestone at its next session on Saturday, May 9 at Worcester University from 11am.

The Repair Cafe volunteers do more than 60 repairs on average with a success rate of over 70 per cent.

Rod, chair of the Repair Café Worcester steering committee, said: “We could not have done all of this without the unwaivering support from all our volunteers, who turn up every month.

“They give up their time for free to help repair the items our customers bring in – although they do enjoy their piece of cake.

“Also we need to thank you, our customers. Without you, there would be no Repair Cafe Worcester.”

Please bring in your items by 1.30pm at the latest to give repairers a fair chance of fixing them.
