Teenager’s amazing Michael Jackson cover surprises city shoppers and goes viral

A TEENAGER has gone viral after performing a Michael Jackson cover during a busker’s live-stream in Worcester city centre.

The singer, known only as Tyler, stopped passers-by in their tracks when he performed Human Nature outside The Guildhall after Charlie Whaley passed him the microphone.

His impersonation – complete with dance steps – has so far garnered more than 100,000 plays on roving musician Charlie’s TikTok channel.

Hundreds of plaudits, including many from the Far East, have appeared under the video after it was shared by the busker, whose brand name is Charlie Max Music.

“Tyler has appeared a few times on my channel, he wants to be a Michael Jackson impersonator,” Charlie said.

“He’s a really nice guy with a great voice, particularly for Michael Jackson songs.

“This time, there were a few people who stopped to listen because they were so impressed with his voice.

“I definitely wasn’t going to sing a Michael Jackson number after him!”

Charlie, 34, who lives in Gloucester but performs in Worcester and other nearby areas, felt he had to share the clip because of the reaction and the cinematic release of the biopic, Michael.

One new fan wrote: “Wow, that voice is outstanding.”

Tyler is thought to be from Worcester.

Another TikToker enthused: “I went to school with this kid and he was obsessed with Michael Jackson. What a bloke”

And the ultimate compliment came from a Jackson fan who wrote: “Wow that’s really impressive. I actually thought it was Michael Jackson singing.”

The moment came last week as Charlie shared his live-stream during his travels, where he performs and invites members of the public to share his ‘stage’.
