A talented Worcester apprentice is lighting up the industry.
James Lumley has been named West Regional Electrical Apprentice of the Year in the JTL Regional Awards 2026.
He completed his apprenticeship with JTL and works for Goodridge Electrical.
He now advances to the national finals in London on June 10.
He said: “This recognition means a lot to me.
“I’ve put a great deal into my apprenticeship and gained valuable experience, so it’s brilliant to have that acknowledged.
“I’m grateful to everyone who has supported me and excited to represent the Worcester and the West region at the National Awards.”
The JTL National Awards, sponsored by Milwaukee and Baxi, celebrate outstanding performance in electrical and mechanical engineering apprenticeships.
Mr Lumley is a finalist for the Paul McNaughton National Electrical Apprentice of the Year award.
All regional winners will now face a panel interview with JTL judges ahead of the national awards ceremony.

JTL supports more than 8,000 learners and works with over 3,800 businesses across England and Wales.
