A POPULAR organic farm is inviting visitors to step behind the scenes as part of a national day connecting the public to food growing.
The Fold Granary in Bransford will open its gates on Open Farm Sunday, organised by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming).
The day will include guided tours and a talk from Fold founder Will Tooby, who will discuss the venue’s focus on heritage grains and organic vegetables.
Mr Tooby said: “Open Farm Sunday is a brilliant opportunity to open our gates and share what we do here on the farm.
“We’re especially excited to talk about our heritage grains and organic vegetables, and to show how farming can work in partnership with nature to support both people and the environment.”

The Fold specialises in traditional grain varieties and aims to demonstrate how organic farming can contribute to biodiversity and soil health.
The Fold Community Farm, a Soil Association certified organic farm, operates as part of a wider community hub.
The site also includes a cafe, artisan village, therapy centre, and regular markets, all rooted in principles of wellbeing, sustainability, and local food systems.
Open Farm Sunday will offer visitors a rare chance to walk the fields, learn about organic vegetable production, and understand more about the journey of food from soil to table.
The event on Sunday, June 7 is also designed to build stronger connections between farmers and the local community by offering a transparent look at everyday farming practices.
The Fold’s involvement in Open Farm Sunday supports its wider mission of promoting sustainable living, improving community wellbeing, and support regenerative approaches to land management.
The UK-wide initiative encourages farms of all types to welcome the public for one day, giving people a first-hand look at modern farming, environmental care, and the realities of food production.
Visitors to The Fold Granary’s Open Farm Sunday event can expect learning, conversation, and exploration focused on farming that supports both people and the planet.
