Dedicated volunteers were honoured with a special afternoon tea in celebration of 30 years of service.
The volunteers, from St Richard’s Hospice’s Mealcheapen Street charity shop in Worcester, were treated to the event by Diglis House as a thank you for their long-standing commitment.
The occasion also marked Volunteers’ Week and recognised the vital contribution of those who help raise funds for the hospice.
Darren Eden, chief executive of Diglis House, said: “We were honoured to host the volunteers from St Richard’s Hospice and help celebrate both Volunteers’ Week and the 30th anniversary of the Mealcheapen Street shop.
“The dedication shown by these volunteers over so many years is truly inspiring, and we are proud to support such an important local organisation.
“It was wonderful to welcome them to our newly renovated conservatory and recognise the incredible contribution they make to our community.”
The afternoon tea took place in the hotel’s recently refurbished conservatory, which offers views over the River Severn.
The hotel’s refurbishment is part of a broader investment plan that began after its acquisition by Worcestershire-based Spirit Ventures, who said they have focused on restoring and enhancing the historic property while maintaining its character.
