Worcester’s ‘oldest florists’ has been named amongst the best in the UK, and staff are ‘absolutely thrilled’.
Floral Roundabout has been awarded the title of ‘Best Florist’ in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire at this year’s Muddy Stilettos.
‘Ecstatic’ florists at the Sidbury flower shop have since thanked the community for coming together to support the business through the awards, saying the accolade ‘is a real boost’.
Maisie Bradley, one of the florists at Floral Roundabout, said: “We are all absolutely thrilled to be named the best florist in Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.
“When we were nominated and when we were named a finalist, there was already this great sense of achievement.
“To be alongside so many other great florists was lovely, so we are absolutely thrilled.
“The community came together and supported us, which is really lovely.
“The team has been working really hard recently with all the changes in the business.
“We are ecstatic to say the least, and we are really grateful to everyone because it makes a difference and boosts the mood of everyone who works here.
“We are so glad to be recognised, and hope to support many more people going forward.
“The business was taken over two years ago, and the staffing situation has changed greatly.
“We are working with less hands, but we keep going, so this is a real boost.
“The business has been in Worcester for years, and years, and years. I think since the 1980s or 1990s. We are Worcester’s longest-established florists.”
