Extreme heat warning extended to last four days as Worcester to reach 39 degrees

WORCESTER is set to reach 39 degrees this week – here’s how hot it will get and when.

The Met Office has extended its amber extreme heat warning to last from Monday (June 22), to Thursday (June 25), with temperatures expected to reach nearly 40 degrees.

How hot will Worcester get this week, according to the Met Office?

A Met Office spokesperson said: “Keep yourself safe by following these simple steps to reduce the likelihood of the heat making you feel unwell: drink plenty of fluids, keep out of the sun and avoid any exercise between 11am-3pm when the sun is strongest, and close curtains in rooms that face the sun.

“If you are going out, take water with you, stay in the shade, wear sunscreen, and a wide-brimmed hat.
