10-week resurfacing work to take place at city car park

The top floor of a busy Worcester city centre car park is set to close for around ten weeks for resurfacing.

The open-air fifth floor of St Martin’s Gate multi-storey car park, off City Walls Road, needs a new weathering surface.

Work is set to begin from the week of 6 July, and for the first two weeks there will be some noise while the existing surface is removed.

Operations will be strictly confined to 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

The top floor and part of the fourth floor will close during the project.

Parking spaces will temporarily decrease from 714 to 472.

The car park remains otherwise operational.
