Bushcraft instructors launch woodland survival courses

Two passionate bushcraft instructors are bringing bushcraft education to the public through a new outdoor venture.

Simon Warr and Chris Morris, co-founders of Raven Bushcraft, have launched a programme of hands-on wilderness courses for individuals, families and corporate groups.

Based in 43 acres of private ancient woodland, the courses focus on traditional bushcraft and survival skills, including fire lighting, shelter building, knife safety, campcraft, tracking, knotwork and general outdoor self-reliance.

Mr Warr, a lifelong local resident, said: “Chris and I are excited to welcome people to our new bushcraft courses and beautiful woodland camp, created for anyone who wants to learn practical outdoor skills, spend more time in nature, and discover the satisfaction of self-reliance.

“Whether you are completely new to bushcraft or looking to build your confidence and knowledge, our courses provide a warm, friendly and enjoyable way to connect with nature, learn new skills, and share memorable experiences.”

The courses are designed to help participants reconnect with nature while learning practical skills in a supportive, hands-on environment.

Raven Bushcraft meets growing interest in outdoor learning and resilience, and the demand for digital detoxification, by offering immersive nature-based experiences.

Mr Warr and Mr Morris collectively bring a lifetime of field experience in traditional bushcraft and wilderness survival, and the courses offer a unique opportunity to learn ancestral skills in an inspiring outdoor environment.

Raven Bushcraft delivers outdoor programmes that foster confidence, self-reliance and respect for the environment, empowering people to thrive in the natural world.
