Worcester dog lovers are being given a chance to go behind the scenes at a rehoming centre.
Dogs Trust Evesham is launching its new ‘Barkstage Tours,’ which will take visitors into areas of the centre not usually open to the public.
The tours will show how staff care for rescue dogs and help prepare them for their journey to a new home.
Callum Barnhouse, community fundraising officer at Dogs Trust Evesham, said: “We love welcoming people behind the scenes because it gives them a chance to see what their support really means.
“Every dog has their own story, and it’s amazing to watch them grow in confidence while they’re with us.
“We hope people leave having enjoyed meeting the dogs, learnt something new about the work we do, and feel inspired to help us be there for even more dogs in the future.”
Visitors will get to see kennels, outdoor compounds, and the quieter areas where nervous dogs begin to build their confidence.
They’ll also meet some of the dogs currently in care, hear their stories, and talk to the team that looks after them.
The centre says the tours are a chance to witness the care, patience, and training that each dog receives.
Tours will run fortnightly and are open to members of the public aged 12 and over.
Dogs Trust Evesham is located in Wickhamford.
