A MAN has been sentenced after he was caught with a sharpened piece of wood near a police station.
Carl Woollaston, 61, was found with the weapon on Love’s Grove, which is adjacent to Worcester Police Station, during an incident last year.

He pleaded guilty to possessing an offensive weapon in public and was sentenced at North Somerset Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (July 21).
Woollaston, of Alfred Street in Weston-super-Mare, was handed a three-month community order with a curfew and rehabilitation appointments.
He was also ordered to pay £114 surcharge.
