Miniature ponies take residents on a trip down memory lane

Two miniature ponies trotted their way into the hearts of care home residents during a special visit.

Lollipop and Moomin delighted residents as they made their way around Willow Bank Care Home in Pershore.

The gentle pair visited residents in the communal lounges, sunrooms, and bedrooms, ensuring everyone had a chance to meet them.

Residents’ faces lit up as they stroked the ponies’ soft coats and enjoyed some quiet, heartwarming moments with them.

The visit also sparked plenty of laughter and conversation, with residents sharing fond memories of much-loved pets and animals from their younger years.

Carole Hall, home manager at Willow Bank, said: “It was such a special morning.

“Lollipop and Moomin were incredibly gentle, and it was lovely to see how naturally our residents connected with them.

“There were smiles everywhere, and the visit brought back some wonderful memories for many of our residents.

“We’re so grateful to the ponies and their handlers for giving everyone a day to remember.”
