A paedophile who asked teenage girls to send sexual photos despite already narrowly avoiding prison for other sexual offences has been jailed.
Jude Maruska, 23, appeared at Worcester Crown Court on Monday (July 27) to be sentenced for inciting a girl aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity and two counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order in June 2025.
The court heard that Maruska, of Lingmell Court, Worcester, had contacted a 14-year-old girl on Snapchat, an app he was prohibited from installing by his SHPO, and requested she send sexualised photos of herself, something else his SHPO prohibited him from doing.
After being arrested by the police, Maruska admitted there had been a second teenager he had also contacted with the intention of soliciting indecent photographs.
The court heard that 23-year-old had received a suspended prison sentence in August 2024 for distributing indecent images of children, and handed the sexual harm prevention order.

Mitigating, Maruska’s defence argued that the 23-year-old is neurodiverse, lacking in maturity, and would be better served by a suspended sentence.

He said: “He is somebody who is very easily led and manipulated. A custodial sentence may well cause more harm than good.
“There is an extreme case where your honour could give him a suspended sentence with more rehabilitation days.
“Is it more likely that those in the community will be able to help him in a more robust way?”

Sentencing, recorder Abigail Nixon said: “The sexual harm prevention order was made less than a year before these offences.
“You knew that suspended sentences were made, but they provided no deterrent to you.
“I accept you are a lonely man. I accept you have very few friends. I accept that you struggle in social situations. But you fully understood you were committing offences.
“You have been given assistance, and you have not taken on board the help you have been given.”
Maruska was sentenced to 44 months in prison.
The mobile phone he used to contact the girls was also seized.
