The event is to be the most dramatic solar eclipse in the UK since 1999, with around 90 per cent of the sun expected to be obscured across much of Britain.
The well-anticipated event has led many to wonder when the best time would be to watch the event, which is expected to last for a number of hours.
According to the BBC Sky at Night, the solar eclipse will be seen over the West Midlands between 6.15pm and 8.05pm.
The peak time of the eclipse will be at 7.11pm, with 91.8 per cent of the sun covered.
