A FORECASTER has announced a rare extreme heat warning for parts of Worcestershire.
The Met Office today (Tuesday) has published an amber warning for extreme heat in the West Midlands, which affects the north-east regions of Worcestershire.
The warning is in place from Thursday (August 13) at 9am to 11.59pm.

In Worcestershire, Droitwich, Wychbold, Bromsgrove and Redditch will be affected but neighbouring Worcester may also feel the impacts of this due to its close proximity.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Following a warm night, a spell of very hot weather will affect England on Thursday.
“The highest temperatures will be in parts of the east, southeast and the Midlands, where 37 or even 38 Celsius could be reached.
“This may lead to impacts on transport, infrastructure and health.”
So far, the summer of 2026 has already seen two record-breaking heatwaves in May and June and already one previous rare extreme heat warning in June.
