A WOMAN was caught carrying an axe in Worcester city centre.
The weapon was discovered being carried by Lorraine Whitemore, 57, when she was on the city’s High Street in July last year.

Appearing at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday (August 10), she pleaded guilty to possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
Whitemore, of Princes Drive, Worcester, is due to appear at Worcester Magistrates’ Court on September 1 to be sentenced.
At Monday’s hearing, she was granted unconditional bail.
