A man is taking on the Worcester City Run in memory of his dad and in aid of the hospice that cared for him in his final days.
Stuart Rowberry will run the Worcester City Run on Sunday 13 September to raise funds for St Richard’s Hospice, which cared for his dad, Martin, during his final days.
Mr Rowberry said: “Back in April, St Richard’s Hospice cared for my dad in the final days of his life.
“During that incredibly difficult time, my family and I were blown away by the care for Dad and for us all.

“The kindness, compassion, dignity and humour the team brought to us all was exceptional and will never be forgotten.
“I’m proud to be able to give something back so that others can benefit from the same incredible care.”

St Richard’s Hospice provides free, specialist care for adults with serious, life-limiting illnesses and supports their families and carers.
Each year, the hospice supports more than 3,000 patients, relatives, and people who are bereaved across Worcestershire.
The cost of running the hospice for a year is estimated at around £12 million.
The majority of this is funded through voluntary support, including donations, gifts in Wills, retail income, and events, with the remainder coming from NHS funding.
