A PROPERTY tycoon has spoken out after rumours that he bought a derelict Herefordshire hotel.
Rick Gannon, a landlord who has amassed over 400,000 on TikTok and has appeared on the Channel 5 show Rich House, Poor House, responded to rumours yesterday (September 6) about whether he had bought Bromyard’s Hop Pole Hotel.
The Hereford Times contacted Mr Gannon for comment, who confirmed he is not the new owner of the hotel.
“Sorry to disappoint but I can categorically say that I am in no way involved in this purchase,” he later told his followers.
“Whilst I do own property in Bromyard, the Hop Pole isn’t one of them, sorry folks.”
He said: “It is a big blight in this lovely market town that really does need something doing to it.”
He added: “I know it’s been purchased, but I think there’s going to be so much work that needs to be done to it inside.
“And whether they turn it into a hotel again or whether they turn it into flats or something different, I don’t know, but it’s nice that it’s been sold.”
During his visit, Mr Gannon praised Bromyard as “an absolutely lovely market town” and spoke fondly of its character, black-and-white buildings, and businesses.
