Here are the celebrities living in Worcestershire and the areas they chose

WORCESTERSHIRE’s rolling countryside, picturesque villages and peaceful market towns have long attracted famous faces looking to escape the spotlight.

While some celebrities are drawn to the county’s rural charm and privacy, others have put down roots in some of Worcestershire’s most sought-after locations.

From rock legends, TV stars, and English footballers, a wide mix of celebrity professions has chosen to call the county home.

Here are some of the best-known names living in Worcestershire and the areas they chose to live in:

Robert Plant

Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant is perhaps one of Worcestershire’s most famous residents.

The rock legend has allegedly lived for years in the village of Shatterford, near Bewdley and Kidderminster, on the edge of the Wyre Forest.

Stella McCartney

Fashion designer Stella McCartney has been associated with properties in the countryside around north Worcestershire.

The famous Gucci fashion designer, daughter of former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney, had obtained listed building planning permission to carry out extensive restoration at a place in Bishampton in 2002.

The Worcester News previously reported that McCartney bought the farmhouse for £1.3m in 2001 as a retreat from her London residence.

Toyah Willcox

Ms Willcox, who lives in Pershore, has recorded 25 albums, achieved 13 Top 40 singles, and appeared in more than 20 feature films and over 40 stage productions.

She lives in Pershore with her husband, King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp, and has been known to regularly cite her love for the area.

Jamelia

Superstar singer Jamelia, who was on Strictly Come Dancing last year, lives in Barnt Green after regionally being from Birmingham. 

One of Jamelia’s claims to fame was her hit single Stop was played in the film Bridget Jones while Bridget was spying on Mark to see if he was cheating on her.

England Footballers

It is rumoured that the village Barnt Green has attracted three renowned England football players – Jack Grealish, Jude Bellingham and Ollie Watkins who it is said have properties or investments in the area.

According to the Daily Mail, Jude Bellingham bought a plot of land in 2024 for a five-bedroom, four-level home.
