Two primary school pupils have helped give new residents at a Worcester housing development a special welcome.
Greetings cards designed by creative children are being delivered to residents at the Kensington Gate housing development on Bromyard Road in Worcester as part of a ‘Welcome Home’ competition.
Barratt and David Wilson Homes partnered with Oldbury Park Primary School to invite pupils to design greetings cards for their new homebuyers.
Two Year 6 pupils, Chloe and Jacob, were named winners of the competition, and their designs are now being delivered to residents moving into the community.

Ben Irving, principal at Oldbury Park Primary School, said: “Oldbury Park has a great sense of community.
“We are a school that offers a warm welcome and, with a growing number of children attending our school, we understand the value of a warm welcome into a community.
“With a school full of creative pupils, this competition was a perfect fit for our school.”
The children each received a 150-piece art set from the developers to encourage their creativity.
Chloe’s card design for Barratt Homes featured a colourful street scene with the sun shining over a house, while Jacob’s card for David Wilson Homes included a cheerful snail, a love-heart, and the message “Welcome Home.”
Joanne Winston, sales director at Barratt Homes West Midlands, said: “Oldbury Park Primary School submitted a variety of wonderful entries for our Welcome Home card competition.
“It was a tough choice picking the winners, but Chloe and Jacob’s entries stood out for their vibrant colours and creativity.”
Georgina Hall, senior sales manager at David Wilson Homes Mercia, added: “We can’t thank Chloe and Jacob enough for their help in welcoming our residents to Kensington Gate.
“It’s important for us to ensure our customers can comfortably settle into their new homes and these cards are sure to put a smile on many of their faces.”
Kensington Gate is a semi-rural development offering a mix of houses and apartments within walking distance of Worcester city centre.
Barratt Homes currently has three-bedroom homes starting from £334,995, while David Wilson Homes is offering two, three, and four-bedroom properties from £265,000.
