A MAN has been sentenced after he was caught using fake bank notes.
Aamir Maniir, 25, was caught using the counterfeit notes at two premises in Leicester earlier this year.

He appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Friday, September 18, where he pleaded guilty to two counts of passing as genuine a thing knowing it was a counterfeit of a currency note, and one count of fraud by false representation.
Maniir, of Avon Road, Worcester, was sentenced to 100 hours of unpaid work for each offence.
A destruction order was handed down for the notes.
He will also have to pay £85 in costs and a surcharge of £114.
