A competitive eater has taken on a mammoth food challenge at a Worcestershire pub.
Leah Shutkever has visited The Crown Inn in Powick to attempt the 999 Emergency Mixed Grill Challenge, which she completed in an impressive 9 minutes and 59 seconds.
Costing £40 if she had failed, challengers are given 33 minutes and 33 seconds to finish the meal, eating for free and winning a T-shirt if successful.
Ms Shutkever said: “This is the Emergency 999 Challenge, which includes 9 ounces of steak, 9 ounces of gammon, 9 ounces of chicken, 9 ounces of pork, 9 onion rings, almost a pound of chips, 9 mushrooms, 3 tomatoes, 3 eggs, and the aim of the game is to get this down in under 33 minutes and 33 seconds.
“If I manage to complete it, I will get the meal for free, I get to go up on the wall of fame, and I will win myself an awesome T-shirt.
“However, if I fail, it will cost £40.”

She joked about the experience, noting that she didn’t use cutlery during the challenge.
Ms Shutkever said: “I think them leaving cutlery for me was a really romantic idea; the reality is, I don’t think I’ve touched cutlery once today.
“People are just trying to have a really quaint lovely pub lunch in the Worcestershire countryside and here’s me stuffing my face with a mixed grill.”
Originally from Redditch, Ms Shutkever trained as an architect before becoming a full-time competitive eater.
She has earned more than 40 Guinness World Records and has built a large online following through her YouTube channel, where she documents food challenges and eating contests.
Her content regularly reaches hundreds of thousands of viewers and has helped popularise competitive eating across the UK.
Despite her profession, she is known for her dedication to fitness and frequently shares workout routines and advice on balancing her eating challenges with a healthy lifestyle.
Guinness World Records reported in September 2026 that she held 42 world record titles, including those involving burritos, churros and strawberries.
The Crown Inn has been approached for comment.
She began entering food challenges in the 2010s and quickly gained recognition for her speed, technique and capacity.
Her achievements have made her one of the most recognisable figures in British competitive eating, and she continues to grow her audience through regular online content.
