THERE is a lack of drinking water in public spaces at Worcestershire’s hospitals, NHS bosses have been told.
Rosemary Smart, chair of a patient and public forum, spoke at a board meeting of Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs Worcestershire Royal Hospital, the Alexandra Hospital in Redditch and Kidderminster Hospital.
She said: “In the summer people were dying for a drink and we ran out of water in the water dispensers.

“We need to have water available in public places, particularly out of hours. Water dispensers tend to be in clinic areas, which are shut out of hours.”
Managing director Stephen Collman said he would look into the issue, but the solution could be “a mixed picture across the three sites”.
