Work begins on 94 new homes in Pershore

WORK has started on a major new housing development.

Located in Pershore and covering 21.6 acres of land off Wyre Road, the scheme will deliver 94 new homes and is expected to open to the public in early 2027.

The project is being developed by Loughborough-based William Davis Homes and will be named Mirabelle Park.

Dan Endersby, chief operating officer for William Davis Homes, said: “Mirabelle Park will become a very attractive addition to the landscape in Pershore and we are very proud to be the developer entrusted with delivering the scheme.

“More than just building new homes, for which William Davis is renowned, we’re committed to enhancing the local area and the wider community in the areas we build.

“Our portfolio is growing in the West Midlands and Pershore is the next location to benefit from the five-star quality which is expected of a William Davis development.”

The development will include a mix of two to five-bedroom properties, with 40 per cent designated as affordable housing.

This comes as part of a planning agreement approved earlier this year by Wychavon District Council.

The scheme will also bring investment to Pershore’s infrastructure and services, with more than £870,000 set to be contributed by William Davis through the Community Infrastructure Levy and Section 106 agreement.

Of this, nearly £475,000 will be allocated through Section 106 contributions, including £183,438 for formal sports facilities, £92,452 for education, and £62,400 for primary healthcare.

The development will also feature extensive green space and biodiversity measures, including bird and bat boxes, bee bricks, buried hibernacula, and hedgehog highways.

The first homes are expected to go on sale in early 2027, with occupation planned for later that year.
