A HOSPITALITY group behind two well-loved city restaurants has been named among finalists in a national awards scheme.

The business has been shortlisted for Best Hospitality Group at the 2027 Bar Magazine Awards.

The group is one of 12 finalists, alongside industry leaders including Hawksmoor, The Alchemist Bars and Caprice Restaurants.

Dorian Kirk, founder and operations director of ART Hospitality, said: “Worcester has been a huge part of our story for ten years.

“From opening Burger Shop under the arches to building Maneki with Pete, we have had the support of people who care about independent restaurants.”

Burger Shop Worcester opened in 2016 beneath the city’s railway arches, while Maneki Ramen, led by chef and co-owner Pete Dovaston, serves Tokyo-inspired ramen and modern Japanese plates.

The group’s approach focuses on building restaurants around chefs and supporting them as business partners.

Mr Kirk said: “Seeing Maneki grow from Worcester into Birmingham has been particularly rewarding.

“That is what we want to do more of: give talented chefs the backing to build something of their own.

“To be shortlisted alongside groups we have looked up to for years is a proud moment.

“It reflects the work happening in our kitchens and restaurants every day, and the guests who keep coming back.”

Its portfolio now includes The Bookshop, Leaven Pizza, The Yard, Dr Foster and DISH by ART.

The Bar Magazine Awards ceremony will take place on January 25, 2027, at Troxy in London.
