AN APPEAL has been filed after retrospective plans to replace a manager’s lodge at a travellers’ site between Evesham and Worcester were refused.
J Mounsey had applied for retrospective planning permission to replace Straw Bale House with a new manager’s lodge on the Duffledown Farm travellers’ site off the A44 at Wyre Piddle.
Wychavon District Council refused the application, however this has now been appealed.
Plans state: “The proposed development entails the replacement of the existing Straw Bale House, as confirmed by the sworn affidavit attached to this application, with a new dwelling of comparable scale and footprint.
“The replacement dwelling has been designed to provide enhanced accommodation in line with contemporary standards, while ensuring that the site manager is able to reside on the premises.
“This arrangement will facilitate the safe operation and effective day-to-day management of the traveller pitches.”
