Heart of Worcestershire College celebrated the achievements of its higher education graduates at a special ceremony in Worcester Cathedral.
Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) held its 2026 graduation ceremony on September 18, honouring students’ hard work across subjects including business and management, computing and game design, mechanical engineering, sport, and personnel development.
Michelle Dowse, CEO and principal at HoW College, said: “Graduation is one of the most special moments in the College calendar, as it gives us the opportunity to celebrate not only our students’ academic achievements but also the determination, resilience and ambition that have brought them to this milestone.
“Many of our graduates have balanced their studies alongside work, family responsibilities and other personal commitments, making their success all the more inspiring.
“Seeing them cross the stage at Worcester Cathedral was a powerful reminder of the transformational impact of education and the opportunities it can create.”

Guest speaker at the ceremony was Baroness Jacqui Smith, who encouraged graduates to be ambitious, embrace new opportunities, and believe in their ability to make a positive impact.
Baroness Smith drew on her experience in leadership, public service, and lifelong learning to deliver a message that resonated with graduates as they prepare for the next stage of their personal and professional journeys.
Ms Dowse said: “We are incredibly proud of every graduate and all they have achieved.
“As they take their next steps, whether progressing in their careers, continuing their studies or pursuing new ambitions, we wish them every success and look forward to seeing the positive contribution they will make to their communities, workplaces and wider society.”
The ceremony also highlighted the support students received from family, tutors, and the wider community throughout their studies.
HoW College will host its next Open Events on October 10 from 9.30am to 12.30pm and November 18 from 5pm to 8pm at the Worcester, Malvern, Bromsgrove and Redditch campuses.
