A developer has promised more than £13 million in new infrastructure as part of a major housing scheme.
The funding is part of Taylor Wimpey’s planning agreement for the Regency Gate development in Rushwick.
It said the money would support education, community facilities and infrastructure in Worcester, including a contribution of more than £2 million towards education provision.

Ben Walker, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey West Midlands, said: “At Taylor Wimpey, we are committed to building high-quality new homes and making sure that our developments positively contribute to local communities.

Funding will support a new primary school to be delivered by Worcester County Council.
More than £1 million has been allocated for public open spaces, while almost £84,000 will go towards policing services.
The scheme will also provide nearly £9 million in road infrastructure improvements.
Taylor Wimpey said it will build a new community centre and play areas as part of the development.
The Regency Gate site, located off Bromyard Road, will eventually have 483 homes.
The second phase of construction, comprising 222 homes, is due to begin in the coming weeks.
