AN award-winning pizza chef will bid farewell to Worcester after almost three years in the city.
Pizza by Vinnie has announced it will be leaving its current location on the first floor of The Oil Basin Brewhouse, Copenhagen Street, in less than six weeks’ time.
Vincenzo Crudele, owner and pizza chef at Pizza By Vinnie, said: “I have loved my time in Worcester with Pizza by Vinnie.
“A massive thank you to all our regular customers who have supported us from the start, and to the guys at The Oil Basin Brewhouse on Copenhagen Street for having us. It’s been brilliant.
“We’re officially finishing up at the end of August, so hopefully, people can pop down for one last pizza before we head off.”
Mr Crudele, who grew up in Italy before moving to the UK several years ago, opened the pizzeria in 2023 and offered an entirely vegan and vegetarian menu, something he said very few pizza places specialised in.

The food quickly garnered Pizza by Vinnie regional and national acclaim, with Mr Crudele being named among the finalists for Pizza Chef of the Year at the PAPA Industry Awards in 2024.
More recently, Pizza by Vinnie was recognised as the best Vegetarian or Vegan Restaurant at the Midlands Food, Drink and Hospitality Awards 2026.

Despite the closure, it is not the end of Pizza by Vinnie.
Mr Crudele said: “While it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to Worcester, I am incredibly excited about the next adventure.
“We are relocating to Cornwall to open our own place on the coast.”
Mr Crudele will be documenting the move and opening of his new restaurant in the South West on the @pizzabyvinnie Instagram account.
