A FORMER police officer faces allegations of “inappropriate, unprofessional and derogatory” behaviour while on duty.
Paul Buffery, who previously served with West Mercia Police, is accused of breaching the Standards of Professional Behaviour under the Police (Conduct) Regulations 2020.
He is due before an ‘accelerated’ misconduct hearing to be held in public at the force’s headquarters in Worcester.
The ex-officer is alleged to have displayed “inappropriate, unprofessional and derogatory speech, attitudes and behaviour” while on duty.
These are said to have involved “sexualised, offensive, and discriminatory comments” about members of the public and police colleagues.
The hearing is due to take place in August at Hindlip Hall.
