A family-run tree nursery has been awarded a royal warrant by King Charles III.
Frank P Matthews, based in Tenbury Wells, produces over one million trees each year, supplying customers across the UK, including the royal household.
The royal warrant recognises the company’s consistent quality, service and excellence, following more than eight years of supplying trees to the Royal Estates.
Nick Dunn, director of Frank P Matthews and grantee of the royal warrant, said: “Receiving the royal warrant is a great privilege for us all at FPM.
“Our motivation has always been to grow quality trees and provide a high level of customer service and this award will encourage us to further maintain and improve on these very same endeavours for the future.”
The Royal Warrant is a mark of recognition for companies that have supplied goods or services to the Royal Household for at least five years and have demonstrated outstanding service, quality and reliability.
Frank P Matthews plans to display the warrant as a symbol of its heritage and ongoing commitment to horticultural excellence.
The honour also coincides with the nursery’s 125th anniversary.
Founded in 1901, the company is now in its fourth generation of family ownership and is one of the UK’s leading nurseries, known for its wide range of tree varieties and contributions to horticultural innovation.
The nursery has introduced many new and noteworthy tree varieties over the years, earning a reputation for quality and expertise in both the commercial and private sectors.
