A planning application has been submitted to Malvern Hills District Council to convert a former railway station into a mixed-use dwelling and events venue.
The proposal involves Station House, on Station Road, Ripple, a property that was once part of the disused Tewkesbury to Malvern railway line, including both original platforms.
The application seeks permission to repurpose parts of Station House and its grounds for a limited hire events business, while the rest of the property will remain in personal residential use.

Specific areas of the site, including both platforms and two waiting rooms, are planned to be used for wedding ceremonies and vow renewals.
No alterations will be made to the external elevations of the listed property or its internal layout.
The proposal also includes applying for a civil wedding licence to allow indoor ceremonies for up to 30 people in the main waiting room.
The applicant has stated: “We would like to be able to offer small events to be held in this magical place.”
Events are proposed to take place between 10am and 8pm. The remaining gardens and outside spaces will continue to be used for residential purposes only.
