Four homes in open countryside refused

PLANS to build up to four homes on open countryside on the edge of a village have been refused.

Permission in Principle (PIP) planning has been refused to build up to four homes off Church Lane in Lower Moor.

Refusing the application, Ciaran Power, head of development management at Wychavon District Council, said: “The application site lies outside the development boundary of Lower Moor and is therefore defined as being ‘open countryside’ where development is strictly controlled.

“It is concluded that the location of the site is not suitable for residential development and that the proposal, considered holistically, fails to represent sustainable development.”
