Patrick Palmer, sensei at Zanshin-Kai, said: “The importance of community events like this is that it allows groups, like us, to get our name out in the community and show what we can do.

“It is so good to see different people from so many different ages – we teach from 11 upwards and it is for everyone, for young, old, women and men.

“We are the only club in Worcester – we do not shout from the rooftops – but we always come and do events like this.”

Some local famous faces were also at the event, like Georgie the Dragon, who was seen dancing, dressing up, and getting involved in activities in the circus area.

“St. Peter’s Festival is a good event,” said Martin Lewis from Worcester City Football Club.

“We run Georgie the Dragon Club, which is free for all children, and it is really lovely seeing the mascot out in the community.
