'LOST FOR WORDS' Tragic last pic of family on holiday weeks before mum, dad & kids killed

A MUM, dad and two of their daughters enjoyed a trip to the beach weeks before they were tragically killed in a devastating crash.

Shannen Morgan, partner Shane Roller and two of their daughters Lillie and Rubie died in the collision on Sunday afternoon.

Shannen and Shane, along with their three daughters, were pictured together enjoying a trip to the beach last month.

Sharing the photo online, friends commented on the photo – describing it as "gorgeous" and "beautiful".

They were travelling in a Ford Focus when they collided with a man and woman on a motorcycle along the A61 near Wakefield shortly before 4pm.

Emergency services rushed to the scene, on a country road close to a golf course, but the parents and two daughters were pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Tragically their eldest daughter, 11, has now been left orphaned as heartbreaking tributes have poured in for the family.

The motorcyclist and female passenger were also killed in the collision.

Shane's brother Callum said: "Honestly lost for words. We lost two of our nieces, my sister in law and my amazing brother in a car accident due to a motorcycle on wrong side of road.

"I’m absolutely heartbroken. I’m gonna miss all of you! You all had a heart of gold. My heart is ripped into a million pieces!!"

Shannen's friend Chelsea Element wrote: "You are and always will be one of my closest friends.

"There are no words to describe the utter loss this has created for family/ friends and the community around us.

"I hope your (sic) at peace Shannen Morgan and Shane Roller, with your beautiful girls.

"Everyone will always look after [the eldest girl], she will never want for anything she has the love of everyone."

A fundraising page has also been created for the family to help the couple's surviving daughter.

Superintendent Alan Travis, of Wakefield District Police, said: “This is an absolutely tragic incident which has resulted in the loss of six lives.

“Our thoughts go out to the families of those who have died who we are working with to provide support at this time.”
