Malvern cast aged eight to 80 bring fresh Peter Pan musical to the stage

A musical adventure to Neverland is set to light up the stage this November.

Malvern theatre company Pop In Performers will present Pantastic, a reimagining of the classic Peter Pan story, at The Coach House Theatre from November 11 to 14.

The show is the group’s second full-scale production, following the success of Sherlock and Cinders in Colwall last year.

Poppy Savage, founder and director, said: “I’m so proud of how far we’ve come. Bringing different generations together through theatre is really special, and there’s been plenty of laughter along the way.

“I’m excited to see it all come together on stage, although I’m still not sure how we’re all going to fit backstage.”

Described as “not a panto,” Pantastic is a musical packed with catchy songs, adventure, humour and plenty of surprises. The cast, aged eight to 80, will take audiences on a journey through Neverland filled with surprises and adventure.

A spokesperson for Pop In Performers said: “Pantastic brings familiar characters to life in a fresh and exciting way. Audiences can expect a musical adventure full of twists and turns as the talented cast takes to the stage to explore Neverland and discover what happens when you never have to grow up.”

The company also thanked its supporters for helping make the show possible.

A spokesperson said: “The company is incredibly grateful to The Great Malvern Hotel and Malvern Wells Village Hall for their kind support in providing rehearsal space and helping to bring this production to life. Their generosity, alongside the enthusiasm and commitment of everyone involved, has helped make this next chapter for Pop In Performers possible.”

Evening performances begin at 7pm, with a matinee at 2pm on November 14. Tickets are available now and early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.
