THE BIGGEST event at the oldest motorsport venue is back, with hundreds of cars and thousands of fans set to attend.
Classic Nostalgia returns to Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb on Saturday (July 18) and Sunday (July 19) for two days of motorsport celebration.
Legendary Formula One machinery including the Benetton B192 raced by Michael Schumacher to his maiden victory in 1992 and the controversial Surtees 1976 TS19 famed for having Durex as its headline sponsor are among the star cars to headline the event.

NASCAR and rally fans are also set to be entertained.

12 NASCAR machines will take on the hill while, to celebrate the quarter-centenary of Richard Burns becoming the first and only Englishman to win the WRC, the X20 Subaru Impreza he drove to victory in 2001 will make an appearance at the hill.
Away from the track, around two dozen car club’s will be displaying their member’s vehicles, with an award up for grabs for the best presented club stand.

One of the new additions to this year’s event is the Historic Racing News Live Stage, where motorsport icons including 1972 Le Mans podium finisher Howden Ganley, 1968 Monaco Grand Prix runner-up Richard Attwood, and 15-time BTCC race winner Anthony Reid will talk about their greatest moments on the track.

A spokesperson for Classic Nostalgia said: “Celebrate the glory days of motorsport with iconic F1 cars, thunderous NASCARs, legendary rally machines and spectacular competition cars from every era.
“Enjoy non-stop action on and off the track with live demonstrations, star drivers, parades, car club displays, and open-access paddocks that put you closer to the excitement than ever.”

Hosting its first hill climb in 1905, Shelsley Walsh is the oldest continuously staged motorsport event anywhere in the world still using its original course.
The 910-meter track rises by 100 meters from start to finish, making it one of the steepest in the UK.
