ON GOOD TERMS Meet Craig Revel Horwood's ex-wife Jane Horwood THE now openly gay Strictly judge was once married to a woman who bedded his pal. Here's everything we know about their marriage and what Jane Horwood is up to now.

STRICTLY'S Craig Revel-Horwood has revealed that he'll be hanging up his dancing shoes as he approaches his 60th birthday.

The longest-serving judge on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing won't be retiring, but the professional dancer admits that his "dancing days are over". Here's everything you need to know about his ex-wife Jane Horwood.

Who is Craig Revel Horwood's ex-wife Jane Horwood?

Craig Revel Horwood married Jane Horwood in 1990.

At the time he was 25 and she was 30.

Born in Caerphilly, Wales, Jane met Craig when they shared a house in London together while he was starring in stage show Miss Saigon.

In his autobiography All Balls and Glitter: My Life Craig explained: “Gradually, our intimacy developed into a proper relationship.

“Jane had in fact thought I was gay when we first met.

“At the beginning of 1990, Jane and I became an item.

"We resided in a one-bedroom flat in Crouch End, which was very romantic – a bit like Robert Redford and Jane Fonda in Barefoot in the Park.

“I loved her zany qualities, her appreciation for the arts, her outgoing nature, her ability to converse with anybody, her strength, her passion – even her Welsh accent.”

The couple got hitched after Craig popped the question out of the blue.

“Eventually, I decided I was in love with Jane and, in a rash moment, I asked her to marry me,” he said.

Speaking about their relationship, he said: "I was both gay and straight, so being bisexual, it wasn’t a big issue for me or for her.

"We were two people who loved each other, coming together and wanting to have kids before it was too late."

However the marriage didn't last after Jane was caught with another man.

“It didn’t last, mainly because our sex life diminished somewhat and I suppose that led to the inevitable scenario – Jane slept with someone else," Craig said.

“I discovered the affair just before our two-year anniversary.

“We had a friend whom we called Lightning, on account of his not being very quick off the mark, and I found that they were sleeping together. I moved out and he moved in.”

When did the couple get divorced?

Her marriage to the Strictly Come Dancing judge collapsed after just two-and-a-half years.

The Strictly judge vowed to remain single after his divorce, but met Jonathan Myring, 35, two years ago on the dating app Tinder.

The pair became engaged after two years when horticulturist Jonathan surprised Craig with his proposition during a trip to a national park.

Jonathan stripped off in a salt bath and dropped to one knee to ask the question as the pair were enjoying champagne.

In an interview with The Mirror, Craig said: “Things are definitely different this time.

“I could never really see myself remarrying, but this feels right. It feels like the right time, and I fancy sharing my life, and the rest of my life, with Jonathan.”

The Strictly Come Dancing judge, got engaged to his partner, in 2020, has postponed his wedding twice since 2022.

Craig told Woman's Own magazine that they will be tying the knot in 2027: "The wedding has had to go on the back burner again!

"It’s going to be the longest engagement ever – there’s a date in the diary for 2027.

"It’s been a right royal mess, but we’ll get there eventually, and hopefully our house will be renovated by then and the gardens will have grown.

"We want to get married at the house so it’s important to get all that sorted before we do it."

What is Jane Horwood doing now?

According to Craig, Jane has since remarried and has a son.

However, he says the pair are still on good terms and see each other regularly.
