Pershore talk to unpick the 1,000-year-old Bayeux Tapestry

A talk in Pershore will explore the history of the Bayeux Tapestry.

Paul Haywood will be presenting the session, titled 1066 and the yarn of the Bayeux Tapestry unspun, in the committee room at the Civic Centre, Queen Elizabeth Drive off Station Road, Pershore, on Thursday, November 5, at 7pm.

Attendees will hear about the 1,000-year-old tapestry’s origins and significance.

The talk will delve into the artwork’s complexities, believed to have been commissioned by Odo, the Norman Bishop of Bayeux and produced by a group of English nuns.

The event is organised by Pershore’s Heritage and History Society.
