A NEW detached dwelling could be built on a Worcester street.
A proposal for the site at land adjacent to 8 Carriage Close, Worcester, includes associated works and a new four-bedroom house.
Documents from Paul Farley, representing the applicant, state that the house will feature solar panels, an air-source heat pump, and a plan to generate at least 20 percent of its energy requirements from renewable sources.
The plan also includes increasing the number of on-site parking spaces from two to six.

However, objections have been raised by a neighbour on Carriage Close, citing concerns about the width of the driveway, potential harm to protected species due to the removal of hedgerows and trees, and the impact on local bird and bat populations.
The council’s tree and landscape officer has commented in support of the proposed development, provided certain conditions are met.
These include the full implementation of the Arboricultural Method Statement and Tree Protection Plan.
