In a statement, the West Mercia Police officer said: “I wanted to let residents know that I have now moved on from my role as Safer Neighbourhood Team Inspector for Evesham and Pershore.

“I’d just like to say thank you to residents, town and parish councils, local councillors, businesses, community groups and partner organisations for the support, challenge and engagement over the past three and a half years.

“There are issues that matter deeply to local communities, and that honest feedback, local information and strong partnership working really do make a difference.

“Neighbourhood policing works best when it’s built on those relationships, and I’m genuinely grateful to everyone who has taken the time to speak with me, share information, and support the team.”

Insp Wise revealed a new inspector has already been chosen and will be introduced to the community in due course.
