A karaoke competition is set to give pub singers a shot at national fame and a £1,000 grand prize.
The Proper Pub Idol contest launches on September 7 across Admiral Taverns pubs in the West Midlands, including the Goodrest Tavern and Old Greyhound in Worcester.
Each weekly heat winner will receive a bottle of prosecco, with pub finals held the week of October 12 offering a £50 bar tab to the winner.
Winners will then progress to the regional finals, taking place during the week of October 26, where a £100 bar tab is up for grabs.
The national final will be held on November 22 at the Miners Arms in Middlesbrough.
The top prize is £1,000 and a studio recording day, with £500 for second place and £250 for third.
The competition is open to non-professional singers, who will be asked to perform two songs in the later rounds, including one upbeat track.
The competition is sponsored by VK and Take! Tequila.
