Pub to unveil £130,000 transformation with outdoor bar and pizza oven

A pub is set to open its revamped outdoor garden on Friday evening following a £130,000 investment.

The improvements at The White Hart on Droitwich Road in Fernhill Heath include an extended seating area, an outdoor bar, patio and food area, a pizza oven, new cosy corners, improved lighting and heating, a fire pit, and new planting featuring seasonal scented plants, herbs and bulbs.

Matthew Feeney, management partner at the pub, said: “We wanted to take the White Hart to the next level and create the best outside al fresco dining, drinking and entertainment space within the area and I believe we have done that.”

“A big thing we have focused on is our food offering, especially our pizzas. We have created a wonderful area for people and families to enjoy a freshly made pizza, or we are now offering a takeaway service.”

The investment by Punch Pubs & Co has focused on creating an inviting outdoor space for dining, drinking, and entertainment.

The opening event will start at 6pm on Friday, October 23 and feature a DJ, photographer and free pizzas.

Tony Riley, operations manager at Punch Pubs & Co, said: “The new garden area at the White Hart will give guests a completely new experience and I know Matthew has been keen to implement something like this for a long time.

“Matthew has big ambitions for the pub, and he is doing an amazing job. The pub is popular with locals, and the new pizza area will bring people in from far and wide.”
