A new glamping site promising an escape from the pressures of modern life has been given the go-ahead.
The site will be created in Worcestershire and is designed to help visitors de-stress in tranquil meadows.
The plan, for Woodside Farm in Bayton, near Callow Hill, includes a small-scale four-pitch campsite, glamping accommodation in the form of a log cabin and bell tent, and toilet and shower facilities.

All glamping units are intended for year-round use, while camping pitches will be open from April to October.
In a planning statement, the applicant said: “The proposal will benefit other local businesses in the area such as local shops and pubs.
“Local visitor attractions will also benefit with more visitors being attracted to the area.
“The tranquil nature of the meadows and woodland will help improve the mental wellbeing of visitors to the site as they connect with nature and escape everyday life.
“Visitors to the site will be encouraged to respect and embrace the natural environment around them with information on the local wildlife and farming practices readily available and with guided farm walks offered.

“The health benefits of destressing in tranquil meadows and woodland will also be highlighted.”
The site will be located in Home Field and Wood Meadow, both grass fields positioned next to wooded areas.
Much of Home Field will remain in use for winter grazing outside the camping season.
All visitor facilities will be grouped in one area near the site entrance.
Spenser Wood, near the meadows, will also be open to guests and offers a network of woodland paths.
The farm follows regenerative, organic methods and has committed to boosting biodiversity through the project.

The applicant plans to market the site to a mix of individuals, couples, and families seeking affordable rural breaks.
Approving the plans, Malvern Hills District Council said: “The application site is located within a rural area where opportunities for tourism-related development are supported in principle by national and local planning policy.
“The proposed use would provide additional visitor accommodation, contributing towards the diversification of the rural economy and supporting local businesses through increased visitor expenditure.”
