Tractor tribute at prom in memory of teenager Harry Moss

IT was an emotional moment at a Malvern school prom as pupils paid tribute to their classmate who died a year earlier.

Despite his death in a farming incident in April 2025, Harry Moss still got to attend Dyson Perrins CofE Academy’s prom in spirit.

Tractors, bearing banners with photos of Harry on them, rumbled into Stanbrook Abbey on Thursday evening (July 10).

The teenager had been just weeks away from turning 15 when he died in an incident off Blackmore Park Road last year, and would have been attending his Year 11 prom this year.

The tractors were a fitting tribute to the teenager, who was well-known for his love of farming, as well as fishing and rugby.

They arrived with their horns beeping to the sound of cheers from Harry’s schoolmates.

His mother Hollie McMurray arrived in one of the tractors and thanked those who organised the tribute to her son.

“It was a pleasure to be apart of it and each and everyone of them have continued to keep Harry’s memory alive,” she said.

In April, on the one-year anniversary of their son’s death, Miss McMurray and Harry’s father Lewis Moss told of their pain as they waited for answers about what had happened to the teenager.

At the time, West Mercia Police said and 18-year-old man who had been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter had been released under investigation.

The incident is also being investigated by the Health and Safety Executive.
