TWO members of a city drama group enjoyed the “opportunity of a lifetime”.
Worcester Operatic and Dramatic Society’s Rosie Bond and Ethan Cook appeared on a Friday night episode of The Claudia Winkleman Show on March 20 at Television Centre in White City, London.
Bond and Cook made a trip down to be audience members as American movie and West End star Rachel Zegler was one of Winkleman’s guests.

This was especially exciting for the duo as WODS are staging Evita at Worcester’s Swan Theatre in April which is Zegler’s latest starring role, picking up the Olivier Award for Best Actress.
The trip did not disappoint with Bond and Cook getting a huge surprise when they were given the chance to speak to Zegler herself.
Once it was revealed they were performing Evita as part of their next show with WODS, Zegler was quick to offer advice, especially to Bond who is playing the lead role of Eva Perón, just as she has done.
Zegler’s top tip was to “make sure you take choreographed water breaks” with the role of Perón being so demanding.
She also wished them good luck for their run.

The pair were “excited and elated” to have had the opportunity to speak to Zegler who is an “icon in the theatre industry”.
Bond added she was “so grateful for the helpful advice” which has “boosted her confidence” for playing Perón next month.
The episode with interview is on BBC iPlayer.
Tickets are on sale for the WODS Evita via the Worcester Theatres box office on 01905 611427 and website at worcestertheatres.co.uk.
