So, bring a blanket, hot or cold beverage of your choice, seating, and the family to enjoy several free outdoor cinema screenings in parks across Worcestershire.

We have compiled a list of the top eight free outdoor cinema screenings and the dates below.
All the films that will be shown are still to be confirmed.
Wychbold Park – Wychbold
Featuring a well-equipped play area for multiple age groups, a basketball court, and a separate bark park for dogs, the park in Wychbold is a great place to see a film.
The screening will be adjacent to the village hall.
The movie starts at 6pm on Sunday, August 2.
If you’re a parent, you can let your children run free and explore the play area before the movie starts.
Steynors Park – Droitwich
Located opposite some residential estates, Steynors Park offers an open, freeing space that just begs people to gather and watch a great movie together.
This area allows for comfortable spacing so people aren’t rubbing arms and easy access for cars of all sizes.
The date for this screening is Saturday, August 8, midway through the summer holidays, giving plenty of time to do other activities as well.
Droitwich Spa Cricket Club
Located on a grassroots sports ground, this spot offers ample parking and a large open area for maximum enjoyment for moviegoers.
For this free outdoor cinema, the screening Thursday, August 27.
If you like fast-paced action, fighter jets, and a killer soundtrack, then this movie is for you: Top Gun: Maverick, the newest addition to Tom Cruise’s classics.
The time of when the film will be screened has not yet been revealed.
Norton Parish Hall
This spot offers ample space and features toilets and an indoor area.
Though the times are yet to be determined, the date is Friday, August 28, which is great for families whose children are out of school and ready to enjoy the summer and the warm weather that follows.
Abbey Park, Pershore
Abbey Park is a well-regarded green space, located in Pershore, and features a large playground, a children’s water play area and a skate park.
Though the water park may not be in operation, the skate park and playground are open to play in until the film starts.
The date is August 29.
The Lenches Amphitheatre, Church Lench
You may not need seating for this place as the Lenches Amphitheatre offers pre-built seating in the form of step-like structures.
It’s almost like it was built to be an outdoor theatre.
The date is Sunday, August 30.
Corporation Meadow, Evesham
A site used for dog walking, war re-enactments, and picnicking, now used to watch people’s favourite movies.
It is recommended to pack bug spray, as this location is next to the river.
The date is Friday, September 4.
Village Green, Broadway
The Broadway Village Green is a great reason to visit Broadway.
It serves as the heart of the community with local events all taking place here.
It hosts a wealth of live music, village fêtes and farmers’ markets.
Located at the bottom of the High Street, with cafés and pubs on either side and a brilliant postcard view of the Tower.
The date of the screening is Saturday, September 5.
